Within the US

We collect sales tax for Readinote services in these locations:

Readinote mail service is not subject to U.S. sales tax under the Internet Tax Freedom Act, which treats email as “Internet access.”

Each state has its own exemption rules. If your organization is tax-exempt, provide state-specific exemption documentation. An IRS exemption letter alone may not be sufficient in all states.

Within the EU

We collect VAT on direct-to-consumer sales to EU customers. If you have a VAT ID, share it and we will apply reverse charge VAT.

Updating your billing address

If you move outside a taxable jurisdiction, update your billing address in your account settings. You may need to re-enter your payment details. In Readinote mail, go to “Account Setup” then “Billing & Invoices.”
